ABOUT ME

Virginia Bryan – Mom/Grandmom/Author/Teaching Artist and Crafter. I began writing at age eight in South Carolina. It’s not something that was pushed on me or suggested by anyone. Creative writing propelled itself toward me. I am inspired by nature and specifically the ocean and life experiences. The ocean, my imagination, flowers and colors bring about an explosion of my creativity. My present works include all of these things and more.The style of my writing has changed over the years in that I have become open to taking more chances in my writing. Instead of peering “Out while inside of the box,” I have actually “Climbed out of the box” and I’m willing to become more exploratory.My main philosophy is to never allow anyone or anything to block that creative spirit residing within. “Writer’s Block” is not allowed. If we open ourselves to audiences through sharing all that is within us, good, love, understanding and healing is released into the universe.My next project is completed. It is a book that’s dedicated to helping young children learn to love and appreciate differences. If they learn early on, we all will be on our way in helping to eradicate hatred and bullying. I plan to present it in schools in the area.Another writing in progress is one aimed at younger children. It’s my spin on alphabets and animals!
